Southeast LMSA (Latino Medical Student Association) is a regional chapter of a national organization that supports Latino students in medicine and allied health fields. With a mission to unify students and create supportive educational opportunities through events, mentorship, and advocacy, the Southeast chapter needed a modern platform to reflect its community-driven vision and academic professionalism.

Challenges
Outdated UI/UX: The existing site had a dated appearance with poor mobile responsiveness and confusing navigation.
Decentralized Content: Event info, leadership updates, and membership forms were scattered across Google Docs and social media.
Limited Scalability: The old CMS setup wasn’t easy for regional teams to update regularly or showcase their chapters.
Brand Alignment: Ensuring the site reflected both national LMSA branding and Southeast’s unique initiatives.

Clean, academic-inspired design using the LMSA palette (blue, gold, white)
Custom iconography and illustrations to reflect student unity and leadership
Responsive layout for desktop, tablet, and mobile views
Interactive chapter map and profiles for each university in the Southeast region
Dedicated “Meet the Board” section with bios, photos, and term roles
Dynamic calendar system for ongoing regional events and conferences
Single-click registration integration with Eventbrite & Google Forms
Secure forms for student sign-up and leadership applications
Document repository for scholarships, guidelines, bylaws, and DEI resources
Built on WordPress with Elementor for easy drag-and-drop updates
Admin dashboard tutorial provided to student leads for self-management
